Title Sponsorship of Local Event Reflects CygNet's Focus on a Healthy Lifestyle and Ongoing Commitment to the San Luis Obispo Community
San Luis Obispo, Calif. - October 7, 2009 - CygNet Software, provider of the leading enterprise operations platform for the oil and gas industry, today announced that for the second year in a row, the company will serve as the title sponsor of San Luis Obispo's 14th Annual City to the Sea Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk, which takes place on October 11, 2009.
The annual event benefits the Cuesta College Track and Field program and draws approximately 1,000 local and national participants every year. The 13.1-mile race starts at the corner of Osos and Higuera Streets in downtown San Luis Obispo (SLO) and ends at the Dinosaur Caves at Shell Beach. About half of CygNet's SLO employees will participate in the race this year, either running or volunteering by providing bottled water and manning water tables for the runners.
At 6 p.m. on the night before the race, CygNet will participate in a pasta feed at the Quality Suites. During the dinner, CygNet company founder Jeff Brady, a long-time runner, will deliver a motivational speech. The next day, CygNet will have a booth at the race featuring, for the second year in a row, a demonstration of Cygnepeide, the integration of CygNet's enterprise operations platform with geospatial tracking to let race fans follow a CygNet runner's progress on a BlackBerry.
